This month (23rd August, 2012) at NRUG we'll be holding a language agnostic Open Programming Session at our offices on Muspole Street.
This will be an opportunity for local programmers to bring along their preferred programming device to PANDR's studio space in order to work on any side project or task/challenge of your choosing. The idea being there will be a group of other like minded programmers to work alongside, troubleshoot with and bounce ideas off of.
The session will be language agnostic as we felt this would encourage the largest number of people down. We'd love to see some people working on Ruby projects though, given the original premise of the group; The Norwich Ruby User Group!
I (Pete), personally will probably be working on Rakkit.com but you may like to bring along a Java/ASP/PHP project you're into at the moment, if not something in Ruby! Alternatively if you've recently acquired a Raspberry Pi then this might be a good opportunity to come and share your plans for the device and to begin work on it.
PANDR will sponsor the event with Pizza and Beers to ensure everyone is fed and watered on the night, so leave your preferred pizza flavours in the comments and we'll start compiling and order.
You can sign up to the event over on Meetup.com. Spaces are limited to 15 people so reply sooner rather than later if you'd like to come along.
The event is on 23rd August, 2012 and will start at 6pm.
